Feet take to the street 2008

Today was the day for Bristol's half marathon hopefuls. Top marks to the organizers for putting on one of the best starts for years. Team cafevelo recorded times of 1h24m and 1h39m and will soon be replenishing its energy stores with a water-soluble mix of carbohydrates, protein, micronutrients and alcohol (for more info, see link).

Hop 'til you drop

Yes, that's right readers, it's time for cafevelo's "beer of the year" award. [drum roll] And the 2007 trophy goes to...



Adnams for its Innovation beer - a fragrant, hoppy drop with a dash of malt. For the record, the brewery is claiming: "an assertive grapefruit and herbal bitterness balanced by a subtle sweetness."
